Bespoke automatic sliding steel gate, powder coated grey
A bespoke sliding steel gate was commissioned and made by our local manufacturer, who also powder coated it in a dark grey to complement existing iron work. Two box steels serve as support and end stops for the gate. These are concreted into the ground, along with a track runner. Two 24v uplighters are activated when the gate opens – these were inserted into existing granite sets. A wireless access control system was installed in which would allow non-residents of the property to call up to the house to gain access.

Description:
Bespoke set of iroko hardwood swing gates
Bespoke set of swing gates in iroko hardwood, 70mm sections, with back plate joined to leading gate leaf, ensuring no visible join between gates. Four coats of Sadolin wood preservative were applied to the finished gates. Windlesham Gates installed BFT motors as they are both robust and slim line – making them an idea solution for this project. The access control is a Videx GSM intercom in the 4000 series. Visitors dial the intercom using a mobile phone. The system checks the caller’s ID against a list of stored numbers. Assuming it matches, it then clears the call (so the caller is not charged) and activates the opening mechanism. Up to 250 numbers can be stored at any one time.

Supply and install a 7m barrier for the college’s main entrance
The 624BLD barrier control board was chosen for this situation as its surface mounted technology allows for simple operational setting. The adjustable electronic brake slows closing and opening movements, ensuring smooth, perfectly calibrated stopping and starting. The control board activates a cooling fan when necessary, allowing the barrier to be operated continuously.

Wrought-iron gates and matching pedestrian gate for a new four-home development
A set of zinc powder-coated wrought iron gates with black finish and a matching pedestrian gate were designed and made at our factory locally. We installed heavy-duty BFT hydraulic motors able to operate for up to 500 cycles in a 24-hour period. The gate access system allows each of the four houses to permit entry to callers, with two-way voice communication. Additionally, access for regular visitors is provided by use of a four digit code. Ten transmitter fobs were also supplied, providing remote access.

Galvanised, black powder-coated swing and pedestrian gates with palisade fencing
Because of the high volume of traffic entering and leaving the showroom, a decision was made to install intense surface mounted hydraulic operators. This modification ensures smooth and efficient operation of the gates and longevity of the system. The pedestrian gate is fitted with a maglock (electromagnetic lock) and gas closer (hydraulic shutting system). The main gate is used for vehicular access only. The system was designed to minimise stress on the operating equipment in the event of intruders attempting to force the gates.
